Leadership With Purpose

I've always believed that leadership is about more than holding a title. It's about accepting the responsibility to give others a purpose they can believe in, bringing people together, and having the courage to turn an idea into something real.

“Good leaders lead others. Great leaders help others become leaders themselves.”

Two people .One unexpected connection. One chance to talk .

Not a match. Not a feed. Not a network to be optimized. Just a voice on the other end that you were never supposed to meet, and the strange, quiet relief of being understood by a stranger.

My Journey

My journey to becoming a CEO wasn't defined by a single moment. It was shaped by a lifetime of public service, ideas, experiences, successes, failures, and lessons that taught me the importance of discipline, self-worth, resilience, love, curiosity, and surrounding myself with people who challenge me to think bigger.

Throughout my career as an engineer, I've had the privilege of working on extraordinary projects. In my time as a Foreign Service Officer, I've had the privilege of traveling and living in countries around the world, and meeting people from nearly every walk of life. Some became friends. Others remained strangers. Some shared my beliefs and perspectives; many did not. I've met people young and old, from different cultures, religions, political perspectives, and circumstances. I've listened to people whose lives were shaped by challenges, struggle, pain, and heartache, as well as those experiencing tremendous joy, happiness, hope, and connection.

These experiences taught me something important: despite everything that can divide us, our need for genuine human connection is remarkably universal.

My own life has also included difficult chapters. I experienced a mental health breakdown, the end of a marriage, and personal struggles with addiction, depression, and anxiety. There were times when I felt deeply alone. My faith and a spiritual awakening through Christ became an important part of finding my way forward. That journey changed the way I understood myself, other people, and the importance of connection in our lives. It also planted the earliest seeds of what would eventually become ChanceCall. I began thinking about what it would mean to connect people around the world without the expectations that usually accompany those interactions. Not simply another dating app. Not another social network built around followers, likes, or existing relationships that often seem disingenuous. And not a platform where every conversation begins with a predetermined objective.

How I Lead

My leadership philosophy is grounded in four core principles: Integrity, Accountability, Vision, and People. I believe a CEO must be willing to make difficult decisions while never losing sight of the people affected by them. Strong leaders listen before they speak, give credit when things go right, and take responsibility when things don't.

I think of responsibility quite literally as “response-ability” – our ability and willingness to choose how we respond when circumstances become difficult. Leadership isn't about being the smartest person in the room or having every answer. It's about creating an environment where talented people can challenge ideas, take ownership, grow, and accomplish things together that none of us could accomplish alone.

Beyond the Title

Outside of business, the things that matter most to me are family, friendship, faith, and community. I was born and raised in Canton, Michigan and raised by immigrant parents who came from India and provided me and my siblings a fruitful life that I am grateful for.

I have two beautiful sons who I co-parent with their mother, and they motivate me every day as they grow up to be their own men. My personal journey with Christ has profoundly changed my life and continues to shape the way I try to live, lead, forgive, serve, and treat others.

But one of the most important titles I will ever have isn't CEO. It's Dad. I treasure spending time with my sons, Zev and Hayden, whether we're hiking, watching movies, traveling, or simply spending time together. I also enjoy walking my dog, Mochi, playing Ultimate Frisbee and pickleball, participating in Spartan Races with my loved ones, and experiencing the world beyond work.

Those moments aren't separate from who I am professionally. They are an essential part of who I am. They keep me grounded and remind me that success isn't simply measured by revenue, growth, accomplishments, or titles. It's measured by the people you impact, the relationships you build, the person you become, and whether you leave something better than you found it.

What Drives Me

At the center of everything I do is a desire to build things that matter. Just as importantly, I want to be someone my children and the people closest to me can be proud of: a good father, brother, uncle, friend, and son. I've learned to embrace uncomfortable situations and difficult problems. I try to move toward challenges rather than away from them, to go where fear might otherwise tell me not to go. Because growth rarely happens inside our comfort zones.

As Founder and CEO of ChanceCall, my responsibility is to turn that philosophy into action: establish a meaningful vision, build the right team, remove barriers, challenge assumptions, and make sure we never lose sight of why we started. And our reason for starting is fundamentally human: Connection.

I don't believe leadership means having every answer. I believe it means knowing what you stand for, understanding where you want to go, having the conviction to take the first step, and surrounding yourself with people capable of making the journey together.

If ChanceCall can create even one conversation that changes someone's day, challenges someone's perspective, creates an unexpected friendship, or simply reminds someone that they aren't alone, then we're building something worth building.
